Dr Lai Fengwai Francis (USA)

Dr. Lai graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong’s Department of Chinese Literature and Language Arts, and received a PhD in political science from the University of Hawaii. She has performed academic research in Japan, taught at the National University in Singapore and at Shengla Fei Xing Jiapo the Duo Mingni College. As a veteran educator and Dean, she led the successful effort to have the Social Sciences Division of Lingnan College be qualified as an accredited degree-granting four-year university program. Dr. Lai contributed to the content development and co-wrote the founder’s story.


Constance Cheung (USA)

Constance Cheung earned her B.A. and M.A. from the University of Hawaii and has over 20 years of education and global HR management experience. She has contributed to the UpPotential website in terms of content development and assessment test development, as well as website design and operational management.


Carol M Lazo (USA)

Carol M. Lazo has over seven years experience in the public and private sector as an applied social research analyst. Working with the University of California, Irvine; the University of Southern California; the Los Angeles Unified School District and the University of California, Davis; she has gathered data, coordinated research, conducted data analysis and reported on topics ranging from teacher training for technology pedagogy, science and math achievement in middle school students, childhood eye diseases and statistical methods in obesity research.

As a consultant to private industry, Carol works with medium-sized businesses and startups applying academic-quality research methods to web-based market research survey deployments, quantitative data analysis and social scientific communications projects for customer insight, program or product development, or business model change feasibility studies.

Currently, Carol has a graduate research appointment in the Quantitative Psychology PhD program at University of California, Davis. She will be receiving her Ph.D. in 2013. She continues to work with select private and public clients on a consulting basis. Carol contributed as researcher and co-writer for UpPotential’s core lesson curriculum.
